Gustaf Nordenskiöld’s work deals with issues about archaeological collections and natural forces. Visible method, the interest in function and the interaction between man and objects is central. He is interested in man’s relation to the collection, of objects, use, materiality, origin and time.
Often he let the manufacturing process become part of the finished work. Leaving traces of the process in the objects, as a memory of its making. By using the randomness and the controlled in a process he makes work that raises questions about its being and creation. This method oriented process can take its expression in a ceramic object, or in a documented performance.

Gustaf Nordenskiöld works as an artist, designer and curator in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been recognized with numerous exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad.
Gustaf is represented at the Swedish National Museum, Röhsska Museum, Malmo Art Museum, ASU Art Museum in United States and Magnelli, Musee de la Ceramique in Vallauris, France.
